A Wyoming Business Relocates to Lowell

Land 'N' Sea, a wholesale marine distributor based in Wyoming, is moving its distribution operations to Lowell. The move will take effect in January, according to Brunswick Corporation, the parent company.

The company currently operates out of 4674 Clay Ave. SW in Wyoming, near US-131 and 44th Street. Brunswick confirmed the relocation to News 8 on Monday.

Why the Move Matters

Brunswick said the decision aims to cut costs and improve efficiency. The company expects the changes to produce millions of dollars in savings.

Land 'N' Sea will use about 50,000 square feet of available space at the Navico Group facility in Lowell. Navico Group is also a division of Brunswick. Both companies are part of the same parent organization.

"This next phase builds on that work. By better using our space and capabilities, and by working more closely across Brunswick, we can improve efficiency while continuing to support U.S.-based manufacturing."

That statement came from Aine Denari, president of Navico Group, in a press release issued June 22.

What Stays the Same

Brunswick emphasized that Land 'N' Sea will remain a separate business. The company will keep its own leadership, operating model, and customer focus. Its headquarters are not moving.

Lee Gordon, Brunswick Chief Communications Officer, told News 8 that the co-occupation arrangement creates "a great, shared opportunity to work together with two Brunswick Companies to gain efficiencies."

Job Impact

Gordon said Brunswick expects "some modest changes in jobs added" at the Lowell facility. He added that "some strategic insourcing projects" will begin later this year and take effect next year.

Navico Group plans to use more internal employees "where it makes sense" while still working with certain outside partners, according to the press release.

The Lowell Facility

The Navico Group facility is located at 1016 N. Monroe St. in Lowell, north of Grant Street. The site currently houses manufacturing and distribution operations. Land 'N' Sea is expected to begin distribution from the Lowell location in January.

Denari noted that the Lowell team has made "strong progress over the past 18 months, improving margin, productivity, safety, quality, and on-time delivery."
