A Grand Rapids-based dessert company is expanding with a new creamery and food trailer location at Picnic on Wealthy.

Waldorf Creamery, formerly known as Semifreddo, is launching its new food trailer at 738 Wealthy St. as part of the Picnic on Wealthy food truck garden on May 1, 2026.

The rebrand signals the growing popularity of specialty frozen desserts and unique culinary experiences in Grand Rapids, as consumers continue to seek out locally-sourced products and unique dining destinations.

About Waldorf Creamery

Waldorf Creamery was founded by husband-and-wife team Jordan and Emily Shirk. The company is known for its partially frozen Italian-style desserts that offer a unique texture and flavor profile.

The Picnic on Wealthy food truck garden will also feature two other local food trucks, fire pits, seating, and hammocks. The location will be open to the public starting May 1, 2026.
