# Cedar Springs marching band's "Easy Goin'" show brings New Orleans to the football field

CEDAR SPRINGS, MI — The halftime spotlight belonged to the Cedar Springs High School Marching Red Hawks last weekend, as the school's 147-member band debuted its 2026 field show, "Easy Goin'."

The New Orleans-inspired production journeys audiences through Bourbon Street, Cafe Du Monde, and the mysteries of voodoo iconography, wrapping the city's signature jazz and brass sound into a halftime performance designed to travel far beyond the boundaries of a small-town football field.

The show made its first public appearance during the Red Hawks' season opener against Zeeland West, drawing the attention of fans and families packed into the stands for the opening night of the gridiron season.

The program is directed by band directors Matthew Nabozny and Colin Weber, who guided the ensemble through months of preparation ahead of the season opener.

For the Cedar Springs community, the debut marks the start of a new chapter in the school's rich tradition of marching band performances.
