Spectrum Health Expands Core Services with New Women's Health Pavilion on Fulton Street
Spectrum Health announced a major expansion of its women's health services with a new dedicated pavilion located on the Fulton Street campus, aiming to provide comprehensive care closer to Kent County residents.
Spectrum Health, now operating under the Corewell Health umbrella, unveiled plans on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, to significantly expand its women's health services with a new dedicated pavilion. The facility, situated on the historic Fulton Street campus near the Grand River, will house specialized clinics for gynecology, obstetrics, and maternal-fetal medicine.
Dr. Elena Rodriguez, Chief of Obstetrics at the Fulton Street Medical Center, stated, 'This expansion allows us to bring specialized care directly to our neighbors in Kent County without requiring them to travel to Grand Rapids. We are seeing a surge in demand for local, high-quality women's health services that this pavilion will directly address.'
The new pavilion is expected to open in late summer 2026 and will feature state-of-the-art imaging technology and private consultation rooms. The facility aims to reduce wait times for patients and improve access to critical care for pregnant women and those facing reproductive health challenges.
