Preliminary investigation shows a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Wilson Avenue when a passenger car attempted to turn left from westbound Riverbend Drive onto southbound Wilson Avenue, the Walker Police Department said. The car failed to yield to the truck, causing a collision.
The 21-year-old Saugatuck man driving the passenger car was seriously injured. The pickup truck driver, a 49-year-old Walker man, was not hurt, police said.
"Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash," the Walker Police Department said in its statement.
